SLR has dedicated technicians to provide professional computer aided drafting (CAD), design and visualisation support to the different technical disciplines within the company.
Our drawings and outputs comply with our accredited quality assurance systems, ensuring consistency and quality, irrespective of the project or the media they are produced on.

Our CAD technicians are located within all our key offices, proficiently producing drawings, figures and illustrations for projects covering the entire spectrum of SLR’s output.
To provide the most efficient service, our senior CAD managers ensure our software is always up to date, and trial and test new software regularly. Our CAD staff are also continually trained to keep abreast of changes and to provide new and additional support as our company expands.

Bryan Valve
Technical Discipline Manager, CADD/GIS
Bryan has over 15 years’ experience and leads the GIS/CADD team in Canada. His ability to provide real world solutions using data management, the application of Geographic Information Systems and spatial modelling have made him an invaluable asset to any project. He is well versed in the concepts of relational databases, spatial database design and spatial data analysis.
Bryan has been involved in a variety of projects including Environmental Assessments (EA) for highways, pipelines, transmission lines, mines and residential developments, Phase I and II ESA’s, Renewable Energy Approvals (REA), Natural Heritage Studies, Hydrogeologic Studies and long-term Habitat and Wildlife Monitoring Programs.

Technical Discipline Manager – Asia Pacific
Peter is a Senior GIS Analyst with over 18 years’ experience in the private and public sectors. Throughout this time he has applied his knowledge of spatial principles to numerous projects across a broad range of industries. Peter’s main strengths are in project management, developing and implementing GIS governance, analysis and promoting awareness of spatial sector. He has managed spatial teams (GIS and Survey) and has successfully implemented several key initiatives to improve business processes and efficiencies.

Aréte Myburgh
Associate Civil Technologist
Aréte is a multi-skilled and qualified civil technologist with more than 13 years of comprehensive industry experience in 3D design and modelling. She has been involved with producing a variety of figures and drawings, from concept study to detail design and construction of tailings dams. With her technical knowledge, Aréte is able to independently design and model intricate engineering solutions, while taking into consideration several integral design elements (such as drain levels, solution trench and road alignments).
