CFD, wind & energy
Wind, climate and energy usage, and design & capture, are all integral elements in the creation and sustainability of our built and natural environment.
By using a range of numerical and physical modelling capabilities, such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), our world-renowned expert team are able to accurately model air flow, turbulence, heat transfer, weather and climate analysis.
We use this analysis to better understand the surrounding environment and the impacts development may have, providing our clients with an innovative approach to ensure their design is correct the first time.
How can we help?
Our team also provide weather and climate analysis for extreme weather scenarios and future climate change projection at scales from community specific to regional-level.
Our guidance is frequently used to assist on policy development, building design and approvals, urban and landscape design, agriculture, land-use planning, water management and efficiency, coastal management, and insurance risk assessments.
In addition to our modelling capabilities, our team are able to offer related services in:
- Solar studies and lighting simulation studies
- Energy efficiency studies
- Wind turbine assessments
- Cogeneration and Trigeneration projects
- Wind engineering
- Aerodynamics
- Geothermal projects
- Renewable energy projects
